Tires/Tubes

bike tires

As the only part of the bike that touches the road or trail, tires are one of the most crucial components of your ride.  Brickwell Cycling stocks a wide selection of products from the top brands, including tires from Bontrager, Continetal, Maxxis, Michelin, Kenda, Vittoria, and more.

Hardpacked groomed singletrack is the perfect surface for the fast and lightweight Hüsker Dü fatbike tire. Built around the perfect balance of low rolling resistance and traction, shorter center treads roll faster and slightly taller shoulder knobs give more bite when cornering. An overall reduced lug count, combined with a tubeless-ready bead make the updated Hüsker Dü one of the fastest snow tires available.
- Taller sidewalls create a more oval tire shape to integrate seamlessly with hookless CADEX rims and deliver class-leading aero performance - Optimized aero profile improves the overall aero performance of many commercially available wheels - All-new RR-A compound reduces rolling resistance by 15% - Slick center tread and micro-profile shoulder provide a perfect blend of speed and grip - CADEX 170tpi Supple Race Casing offers a smooth, efficient ride - Race Shield Puncture Protection featuring ultra-lightweight and cut-resistant Kevlar center patch deliver long-haul durability
This tire is designed to shed mud and deliver traction on pavement and dirt. The Cultivator doubles as a solid tire for both the commuter and cyclocross rider.
Continental Supersonic Tubes are super light so you enjoy less rotating weight for easier acceleration and climbing. Made of seamless butyl rubber, they are individually tested for top quality.
The Newton MTR (Mountain Rear), part of our ultimate tire package developed for gravity riding & racing. A tire that is at its best bringing up the rear while sprinting out the start hut of your race run, as you attack those loose off camber sections, hold the line on rocky chutes and pinballing down rock sections. Who Rides This Tire? Your bike of choice is a Downhill, Enduro or trail rig, you eat/sleep loose turns, berms and full-on terrain. Where Does This Tire Perform Best? Best suited to your rear wheel. A broad range of conditions from loose dust to wet loam. Most at home on Downhill & Enduro terrain, or rowdy trails. Go Faster, Go Bigger The tire, that small contact patch that connects you to the ground, is arguably the most important part of your bike. When you’re in the start hut, about to drop into your race run you need to know that this essential component is designed specifically with the job in mind. What better choice than the tire named after the man who defined the very laws of gravity. For Downhill, Enduro, and trail Dominance Drive focused tread delivers speed and durability with tracking performance that inspires confidence transitioning from straight-line to cornering across a wide range of conditions. Construction A dual-ply, robust 60TPI construction, the 2x60TPI casing combines no-compromise durability, while retaining traction and support over the most rugged terrain. Grip3 Compound Rear specific, triple density 40/50/60a compound, offering balanced levels of grip and treadwear. Protection DH:Wall – A butyl layer located within the casing ply, providing our highest level of sidewall defence.

Make your commute faster with Kenda's Kwest. It's a smooth, fast-rolling slick that speeds along the road and bike path. Deep water grooves help channel water away from the center tread in rainy conditions for added confidence. And, the 100 psi rating on these tires means rolling resistance is kept to the bare minimum, so you'll get to work on time. - Smooth, minimal tread tire for city, bike path, or commuting in a variety of sizes to suit any need - Deep water grooves help channel water in wet conditions - Front and rear application, best when used as a set - Wire Bead
- Lighter and faster than the original - Control and predictability of the original but with less rolling resistance and weight - Front and Rear application
MICHELIN's Wild Mud attempts to tame the muckiest conditions. A well-spaced tread pattern and a specially adapter rubber compound help improve grip. For additional traction, the "twisted" tread block design helps penetrate deeper into mud but resumes its initial position when not in contact with the ground for excellent mud-shedding. - Weight: 610 grams (27.5 x 2.25) - In order to use Michelin Tubeless Ready tires as tubeless tires, you must use a tubeless/sealant kit, which is sold separately.
Choose a tire that's as extreme as your ride. The Wild Rock'R2 benefits from reinforced technology, which in turn lends itself to smooth braking, superb grip, and a tough, puncture-resistant skin. Massive rubber blocks create a meaty tread pattern that handles stress better than Zoloft, and a bold, claw-shaped shoulder pattern snags traction on loose slopes and otherwise treacherous conditions. A central groove gives this tire all the directional stability you'll need to stay on track. For optimum performance, MICHELIN recommends using their GUM-X compound on the rear tire, and their MAGI-X compound on the front.
Maxxis' first plus tire, and still a class-leader. The Maxxis Chronicle is ready for adventure. From after-work trail rides to bike-packing expeditions, the Chronicle can be called into duty. The tread design offers grip at any angle and the 3.00-inch casing provides a comfortable ride. - Folding bead - Dual compound

The new version of Specialized's S-Works Ground Control 2Bliss Tire is a confident-cornering tread that excels in a variety of conditions. Specialized used finite element analysis to optimize the side knobs for grip, create a fast-rolling center section, and provide great braking control. Plus, with Specialized's 2Bliss technology, you can run these sweet tires at traction-enhancing low pressures with no risk of pinch flats.
Because it's hard to know when you're going to get a flat, it's always good to have extra tubes on hand. Specialized's Thorn Resistant Tube is thicker on the road side for puncture protection and thinner on the rim side for weight savings.

We all love to stop and smell the roses, but like they say, every rose has its thorn. And as we all know, there's no better way to ruin a beautiful ride than with a thorn in the tube. No need to worry, though, because we designed our Thorn-Resistant Schrader Valve Tubes to combat pesky pricks of all shapes and sizes. Starting at the basis of the construction, we designed the tube to be thicker at the outer side (the part against the tire) in order to stop pesky bits from puncturing all the way through the tube. Then, at the inner side (the part against the rim), it's actually thinner in order to reduce weight. This way, you don't have to sacrifice performance in the name of protection. - Thicker construction on the outer side (against the tire) enhances puncture protection. - Thinner construction on the inner side (against the rim) maximizes weight savings.

Odyssey's Air Supply tubes are specifically sized to fit modern BMX tires, and they are manufactured with a stronger emphasis on quality versus simply chasing the lowest possible price. On average, the Air Supply BMX tube retains air significantly longer than others currently available on the market. This is down to both the rubber that is used, and because of strict quality control during manufacturing. It is normal to assume that a “tube is a tube,” but a higher-quality tube will always last longer than a cheap tube during comparable everyday use.

- The Pressure Relief Valve Stem Nut has been designed to ensure that an improper tubeless tape job doesn’t result in a damaged rim. - If the tubeless seal between tire’s air chamber and the rim’s cavity is breached, the rim’s cavity can become pressurized resulting in a pressurized rim and potential delamination of the rim’s sidewall. The Pressure Relief Valve Stem Nut prevents this from happening by creating an escape for the air via fluted reliefs on the inner diameter of the nut. - Air escaping from these ports, indicates a compromised tubeless seal. - Recommended for all tubeless SES wheelsets as well as other brand road tubeless wheelsets. - Each order includes two nuts, enough for one wheelset.
