The Box Three Crankset features a hollow-forged 2-piece design with an oversized bottom bracket interface. The 24mm spindle is pressed into the drive-side crank arm for durability and easy installation. The non-drive side crank arm features a 2-bolt pinch system for added strength. The Box One cassette is a piece of art that brings together all the virtues of the Prime 9 philosophy and distills them into what we feel is our most defining product to date. A unique machined all-steel unibody lattice and alloy support disc have netted us a high-performing, simple, durable and lightweight cassette. All Box One and Two cranksets are engineered and crafted using our Oversized Technology. we all know that there is no use pushing hard on your pedals if you can’t deliver most of that power to the rear wheel. During the creation of our cranks, we were obsessed with Power delivery AKA pedaling stiffness. To reduce lateral deflection at the bottom bracket we chose to enlarge the spindle and the crank arm’s interfaces. We robbed material from unloaded sections to reinforce these zones of high stress. Not only are you going to be more efficient with power delivery, but you’ll also feel the instant response of acceleration. Seen through another lens, less energy will be required to achieve the same elapsed time. Key differences: The Box One M30 crankset is just as tyrannical as its big brother the Box One M35. Since it's designed for the smaller rider the now 30mm spindle is as extreme to a smaller rider as the 35mm is to a burly world champion. The crank arms are hollow-forged but reduced in size for their application. It is possible to add too much stiffness where the rider will not feel the benefits. Going beyond that point simply adds material which is surplus weight. We’ve removed the stabilizer rings from the spider and removed unneeded material from its legs. These cranks are engineered for smaller-sized racers. We squeeze in a show-stopping Praxis™ made 30mm that’s been cold-forged from 7075 T6 aluminum and then painstakingly ground to precision. You’ll be relieved to know this will all fit in a European bottom bracket. The crank arms and spider are poached from the Box One M35 model and as a result, you get all that hollow-forged generosity to help you put that power down. The new Super Record 12x2 Speed mechanical front derailleur introduces many new techniques, starting with the leverage systems designed to speed up derailings. Less effort is needed to shift owing to the split front connecting rod, which prevents contact with the travel limit screw. Whilst the shape of the inner cage plate is engineered to guarantee maximum readiness for upshifting, the external monolith body in carbon fiber has been shaped to enhance the efficiency of the chain movement when going uphill and the readiness and fluidity in descent. The aesthetic impact of the component is consistent with the rest of the Super Record groupset due to the use of unidirectional carbon fiber and titanium stop screws. Micro-adjustments to the front derailleur position, which can be activated by the controls, help to prevent any contact with the chain, even in the case of maximum crossover. As regards compatibility, the new Super Record 12x2 Speed front derailleur allows the use of hoods measuring up to 32 mm thanks to the new upper connector rod and the double fixing position of the control cable.
